Kerry McCarthy
Evaluation and Training Associate
Kerry is an evaluation practitioner and facilitator. She has worked with local and national government, charitable trusts and foundations, and service delivery charities for more than twenty years. This includes inhouse roles at Matrix, Nesta and the Health Foundation. She is highly experienced in commissioning and delivery of a wide range of evaluation methods and practices.
Kerry has a particular interest in theory of change; in how evaluative thinking can support organisations to learn and be more effective in their delivery; and how evaluation is adapting to be responsive to complex and systems focused work.
Kerry has an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice; a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Law and Sociology; and a BA in Community Justice. She spent her early career working in the criminal justice system, and was a member of the Probation Journal editorial board for many years.
Kerry lives with her family in the South West, where she is a volunteer community engagement co-ordinator for a local net zero charity, and she competes in open water swimming and SwimRun.
